Investing With a Strategy
There are two main approaches to investing: active and passive. Those who engage in active investing believe that they can "beat the market" by successfully picking stocks and timing the market -– that is, selecting future winners and shedding future losers. Most of the popular financial media, Wall Street gurus, brokers and product providers pursue an active investment approach.

Unfortunately for those who buy into it, active guessing at the future seems to be as error-prone within the market as it is anywhere else. In fact, studies have indicated that even meteorologists are better predictors than stock brokers. Plus, the transactions involved in attempting to outfox the market can be costly.

Passive investing, in contrast, heeds the academic evidence that markets are largely efficient. In other words, current stock prices are the best estimate of correct stock prices, and any attempts to gaze at the stock market as though it were a crystal ball are likely to prove costly and counterproductive.

As a passive investor, you will give up the slim, lottery-level chance of outperforming the market by trying to outguess it. Instead, we will help you build your portfolio using low-cost, passively managed investment vehicles that seek to capture market returns, and help you focus on maintaining the discipline to stick to your unique asset allocation.
